The correct placement and setup of the AMBEO Soundbar is important for an optimum sound experience. You can place the AMBEO Soundbar on a piece of furniture (> Placing the Soundbar on the device feet and positioning it) or mount it directly to a wall using the wall mount (optional accessory) (> Mounting the Soundbar to a wall).

2.Connecting a TV and/or audio devices

Place the subwoofer(s) in the same room as the Soundbar (> Setting up the Soundbar and a Sub) and connect the AMBEO Sub(s) to the power supply system (> Connecting a subwoofer (optional)).

5.Installing the Sennheiser Smart Control app on your smartphone and establishing a WiFi connection

For an optimum spatial sound experience, the AMBEO Soundbar together with the optional AMBEO Subs must perform a room calibration. The calibration takes only a few minutes and leads to the best possible 3D spatial sound (> Starting the room calibration).

Configuring an optional assistant such as Amazon Alexa or Ok Google

You can optionally configure the Soundbar to use the Amazon Alexa or Ok Google voice assistants. The Smart Control app will guide you through the setup process (Internet connection and user account required, availability of Amazon Alexa, Alexa Cast and Ok Google and Chromecast is region-dependent).

Amazon Alexa is integrated into the Soundbar as a built-in and can be used with all its functions. It is controlled via the Soundbar’s microphones.
For the use of the Google voice assistant, a smart device is additionally required for control, which puts the voice commands into actions (control is not via the Soundbar’s microphones). The Soundbar can then be used as a loudspeaker in combination with a smartphone, for example.
