Network connection via WiFi or Ethernet

Use the WiFi connection or the Ethernet connection for:

AirPlay

Chromecast

Spotify Connect

Tidal Connect

UPnP (Universal Plug and Play)

Updates

The Soundbar must be on the same network as the devices the Soundbar wants to communicate with.

Using AirPlay

To use AirPlay:

Play music with your favorite app.

Open the iOS Control Center

Tap the AirPlay icon on the “Now Playing” panel.

Select your AMBEO Soundbar | Max from the AirPlay device list to play music from the Soundbar.


 

Using Apple AirPlay requires that your Soundbar is connected to the same network as your mobile device.

Using Chromecast

To use Chromecast:

Download the Google Home app.

Start the setup in the app.

Using Spotify Connect

To use Spotify Connect:

Use your smartphone, tablet or computer as a remote control for Spotify.

Go to www.spotify.com/connect to learn how.

Establishing a WiFi connection via the Smart Control app

The WiFi connection can be established and managed via the Smart Control app (> 43).

In the device settings of the Smart Control app, tap “Network > WiFi” and connect the Soundbar to the desired WiFi.

Establishing a WiFi connection via WPS

To establish a WiFi connection via WPS (WiFi Protected Setup):

Press the SETUP button for approx. 2 seconds to activate WPS.

The Soundbar searches for a connection.

The display shows “WPS searching” and the status LED flashes orange.


 

If no connection is established within 2 minutes, the search is terminated.

Press the WPS button on your router.

The Soundbar connects to the WiFi.

The display shows “WiFi connected” for 4 seconds and the status LED lights up orange.

Establishing an Ethernet network connection

Make sure that the Ethernet cable is properly connected to the Soundbar and your network (> Connecting an Ethernet cable).

The Ethernet connection can be set up and managed via the Smart Control app.


 

If you connect the Soundbar to the Internet/Ethernet via cable, the WiFi function of the Soundbar is automatically deactivated.
